Elon Musk Is Dangerous: A Cautionary Tale for People with a Brain

VOICES

ABE WON’T BE SILENT - Yes, Elon has been a leader in reshaping industries, colonizing Mars, and intent on building a sustainable future. But what kind of future does he envision for himself? Universe be damned.

Beneath the myth lies a far darker reality: Musk is a dangerously influential Mama’s boy whose actions and rhetoric threaten industries, societal norms, and democratic principles. His latest antics are infuriating, from trying to shut down our government to slashing 190 million dollars from cancer research for children—and that’s just yesterday! Add to that his recent praise of Germany’s far-right AfD party, the newly renamed Nazi Party and the portrait that emerges is not of a visionary leader, but of a wanna be Doctor Evil.

[SIDEBAR] Is it me or do those two look eerily alike—perhaps separated at birth? Note to self: text Mae Musk.

Elon wants to be a destabilizing force as we saw when he wrecked Twitter—I refuse to call it X. Musk is fashioning himself after the likes of Lex Luther in time for James Gunn’s reboot of “Superman”.

Remember when he denied Ukraine access to Starlink during a critical moment in the military operation against Russia? Come to find our he, like Trump, is a Putin sycophant. While the situation was resolved, the incident foreshadowed the enormous, unchecked power Musk craves in order to impact global affairs.

By shutting Starlink down on a whim, Musk jeopardized lives and undermined an ally’s national security. The idea that private citizen Elon—driven by his own desperation for political prowess and economic benefit—can dictate the outcome of international conflicts should scare the beJesus out of all of us. You too, Donald Trump!

Just Desserts!

[SIDEBAR] His army of Tesla fan boys have just started slapping this bumper sticker on their fenders as an apology for supporting this megalomaniac.

Recently, Elon praised Germany’s far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, calling them the “only” party that can “save” the country. This is the same AfD whose rhetoric has stoked anti-immigrant and antisemitic sentiment and whose policies flirt with neo-Nazi ideals. Musk’s endorsement lends legitimacy to extremism, amplifying hate speech to his 160 million Twitter followers. His words have real consequences in a world where social media drives political polarization and violence.

Musk is convinced that he is untouchable because of his wealth. Any money bet that Mommy Dearest Mae never said “No” to him when he was being an unruly, spoiled, emerald-mined, lucky-sperm-club brat. I mean…she defends him to this day. (Watch my TikTok post.)

Unlike elected officials who are bound by checks and balances, Musk operates in a vacuum of accountability. His companies blur the line between private enterprise and public utility, wielding influence over transportation, communication, and energy infrastructure. Musk uses this power not to serve the public good, but to further his own agenda, which is often rooted in self-aggrandizement and ideological posturing. Not to mention the countless billions of dollars he gets in contracts on the backs of American taxpayers.

If his Twitter feed is anything to go by, Musk is less a genius innovator and more an insecure bow-wow trying to prove he’s the smartest guy in the room. It’s what he has in common with his new lap dog, Donald Trump, who ‘Truthed’ this nonsense the other day. Sad.

Is Elon Musk the Real President Elect?

The danger of Elon Musk lies in his ability to dominate conversations, shape public opinion with out and outright lies, and act without oversight. He has positioned himself as a modern-day tech messiah, but his actions suggest he is more interested in playing kingmaker—in politics, in economics, and even in matters of war. Musk’s cult of personality insulates him from criticism, allowing him to act with impunity while his legions of fans dismiss any critique as “jealousy” or “wokeness.”

It’s time to strip away the mystique and hold Musk to the same standards as anyone else wielding immense power. He’s not stupid. He bought his way into the MAGA universe to avoid having regulators taking a closer look at his companies, ensuring that critical services like Starlink cannot be weaponized for personal or political gain.

While we’re at it, social media platforms—including Twitter—better establish stronger safeguards against the amplification of hate speech. The damage he is causing is unacceptable and the media needs to attack his every dangerous move.

Elon Musk is a cautionary tale—a reminder of what happens when power is concentrated in the hands of a single individual who answers to no one but himself. And let’s face it, the last thing the world needs is an unchecked multi-billionaire who thinks trolling is a form of leadership. Musk fancies himself as a God-like creature and we see what happens to those folks throughout history. (Napoleon, Stalin, Julius Caesar.)
