CommentsTHE DOCTOR IS IN - At this point, it's probably the politically independent among those living in this divided nation, and probably those in either party willing to get past partisanship and do the right thing, who are to be respected the most.
After all, they've got the credibility and maturity to do what's right.
Those still overly addictive to Trump? Not a lot of cred right now (and the right-wing lunatics in Congress are hardly respected by the GOP base), because principles, keeping in touch with the majority of their voters, and adherence to the Constitution is what it's all about with voters.
In other words, either Trump gets his act together, or we will see more GOP voters (and independents) will want a pro-America, follow-the-damn-law, government-obeying-the-people-and-not-the-other-way-around, "Trumpism pursued by someone other than Trump" approach to this November and to 2024.
And if Florida Governor DeSantis gets the GOP nod for President in 2024, it's doubtful that CNN, MSNBC, the Huffington Post, Twitter, and Facebook will do much to stop him.
Because it's the Democratic Party who controls Congress and the White House, and the low ratings of President Biden, House Speaker Pelosi, and the media who empowered them suggest that--partisanship aside, independents and conservative Democrats are really concerned that Bernie Sanders, and not the moderate-Joe-Biden-as-promised in 2020 won.
Similarly, either Biden gets HIS act together, or we will see a Democratic bloodbath this November, and again in November 2024. Absolutely NO independents or conservative Democrats wanted a federal government this far to the Left, and without COVID-19 it's just bumbling Joe Biden and his cackling cuckoo bird sidekick Kamala Harris.
President Biden can unleash our nation's oil reserves to try to lower prices, but it won't do much.
The questions of why the heck gas prices are so high, and the Keystone Pipeline and energy independence were thrown away will rightfully continue to dog the White House.
And if you're one of those pointy-headed faux-environmentalists who don't know the relative potency of fossil fuels, nuclear power, solar power, or wind power, and who thinks we get just get energy from the ground by plugging in mega-expensive electric cars, then you really DON'T know what the hell you're talking about with respect to the environment, physics, energy, and economics.
Most importantly, political independents don't respect you "greenies" much (because you're not as energy-smart as you think you are), and ditto for conservative Democrats...with the result of the GOP making some significant headway at gas stations, and among both Latino and African-American voters.
Perhaps President Biden and the Democratic Party needs to stop focusing on "Green!" and also stop taking brown and black voters for granted...because minority voters are hurting most of all.
Nice that we're getting our jobs back post-pandemic-shutdowns, but they're still back to the Trump Era (and of Trump's creation), but this time accompanied with an inflation that's sucking the ability of the middle class to make ends meet.
The Ukraine issue is a HUGE one...but ask voters who can't make ends meet and it'll mean that they DO care about Ukraine, but not as much as what's destroying their lives at the gas station and in the grocery store.
Critical Race Theory is a thing, and the reality is that the Disney-led "Don't Say Gay" false narrative isn't fooling ANYONE who lives outside the politically-correct bubble that's about ready to pop big time.
No parent wants oversexualization of their children's education (particularly as young as kindergarten). And college admission scandals are pissing off enough Asian American voters that many of them as well will be shoved into the GOP camp (at least for the near future).
Finally, there's that Hunter Biden thing, and the fact that our President was up to his eyeballs in foreign entanglements and conflicts of interest.
Bill Maher? Hardly a Trump supporter, but he's not too thrilled with what the left-wing, Democratic-operative-laden media did in our last election.
Ditto for AOL/Huffington Post with respect to real, dangerous, and outrageous accusations surrounding the Biden Family that COVID-19 and Putin's horrible invasion of Ukraine won't make go away.
Perhaps President Biden IS the GOP's best friend right now...but I doubt that such friendship is what he really ever wanted, or will want come this November.
