On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the city of Altadena will come alive with music, unity, and purpose as Pasadena Memorial Park transforms into the heartbeat of healing and resilience. Ashes to Anthems: The Dena Benefit Concert & Resource Fair is a powerful response to tragedy—rooted in faith, driven by culture, and fueled by the collective strength of a resilient community.
In the aftermath of the devastating Eaton fires that wiped out 80% of homes and displaced hundreds of residents, a group of dedicated partners—including Victory Bible Church, SoLa Foundation, Shared Harvest Foundation, the NAACP Pasadena, Clergy Community Coalition, Legacy Land Project, and Palm Leaf—came together with one goal: to rebuild lives, preserve legacy, and restore hope.
For Victory Bible Church, the heartbreak was especially personal. Over 40 members of the congregation lost their homes. That loss became the catalyst for this unprecedented event, merging recovery with celebration, and compassion with impact.
“At a time when our city is facing some of its greatest challenges, our attention must turn back to those who need it most. This benefit concert is about more than music—it’s about restoring hope, spreading joy, and uniting our community. Music is a universal language that reaches the heart, and through it, we want to uplift Altadena, provide vital resources, and create a space where families, kids, and teens can experience something truly life-giving. Altadena is resilient, and this concert is a declaration that we will continue to rise together.,” said Pastor Jon of Victory Bible Church.
The event will span 10 hours of programming, combining a powerful mix of entertainment, direct aid, and essential resources. Performances by Grammy Award-winning artist Andra Day as well as nationally recognized and local artists backed by the National Black Musicians Coalition Celebrity House Band, while a Resource Fair will provide everything from housing support and mental health care to legal aid and children’s programming. For many displaced families, this will be the first major step toward stability and healing.
