Permanently Parked Vehicles Plague Venice! Electric & Fourth Street Obstructed by RVs and Campers

THE WESTSIDE - The ongoing crisis to remove these illegal and permanently parked RV’s are the latest battle to clear and clean specific Venice neighborhoods.

The challenge has been difficult, as staffers in the office of Councilwoman Traci Park (CD-11) have been workmanlike in getting the results locals seek.

VNC Community Officer Clark Brown, a retired attorney has also spent a deal of time and effort in his volunteer position to rid the neighborhood of these oversized vehicles in residential areas, especially those with schools or children.

The Los Angeles City Council has implemented restrictions prohibiting RVs from parking along various streets in Venice between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. to address public safety issues.

If you'd like to report an illegally parked RV, you have several options:

  • Parking Violations: For immediate parking violations, such as blocked driveways, you can contact the LADOT Parking Enforcement Dispatch Center, which operates 24/7, at (818) 374-4823 or (213) 485-4184.
  • Abandoned Vehicles: If the RV appears abandoned (e.g., unmoved for over 72 hours), you can report it by calling 1-800-ABANDON (1-800-222-6366) or by completing the Online Stored and Abandoned Vehicle Report form.
  • Online Reporting: The MyLA311 portal allows you to submit service requests related to parking violations and other concerns.
