Animal Alert! La Tuna Fire Causes Evacuation of Hundreds of Animals and Still Burns!

LOS ANGELES

ANIMAL WATCH--As firefighters continue battling largest fire in the City of Los Angeles history, hundreds of horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens and more have been evacuated and are filling our already filled to the brim City shelters and being temporarily housed at evacuation sites such as Hanson Dam and Pierce College.

Los Angeles Animal Services staff has been working around the clock monitoring and dispatching help. Amazing volunteers and friends from partner agencies such as Best Friends and DART (Long Beach) are also assisting. Coopers Hardware, Foothill Feed, Lowes and others have already stepped up and donated supplies for the horses and livestock.
