US HOUSE OF BICKERING - A “grifter,” “trash,” a “religious bigot,” and “tattletale” are only some of the recent insults lobbed between Republican congresswomen Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in their ongoing feud over racist comments made by another GOP flamethrower.

OPEN LETTER TO THE LEADER OF TURKEY - Dear President Erdogan, I send this open letter to you because it pains me to see a country like Turkey, which could have reached the pinnacle of power and influence, envied by her adversaries and revered by her friends, has fallen into disgrace, thanks to your corrupt and misguided leadership.

MARC’S ANGLE - As a community organizer and journalist, nothing interests me more than covering the impact of natural grassroots movements. I have found a major disconnect with what the political class considers priorities and what “man on the street” feels is important. 

COMMENTARY - My mind keeps going back to the gloves on Rittenhouse’s hands, glowing blue in the streetlight, as this strange kid marched from block to block down Kenosha’s tear-gassed streets, with a goofy look on his face, like he was moving from one kill level to another in a video game for the damned.

UNCIVIL LIBERTIES - The ACLU of Northern California has concluded a year-long Freedom of Information campaign by uncovering massive spying on Black Lives Matter protests from the air.

RACIAL RECKONINGS - The holiday season is in full swing, with Christmas carols on the radio and shopping sales luring customers to spend their cash.

PERSPECTIVE ON RITTENHOUSE - I was a troubled teen. I remember the day I was called to my high school’s administrative office to receive a call. He gave me advice I have never forgotten.

THE VIEW FROM HERE - In her recent book, Bad News: How Woke Media Is Undermining Democracy, Batya ngar-Sargon, claims that the media is run by the extremes leaving no media for the vast center.

COMMENTARY - The Summit for Democracy that President Biden is spearheading in December, at which scores of countries will be in in attendance, is certainly timely and necessary.
