MY THOUGHTS - The United States has long been known as a country of immigrants (I’m one), but in addition we are becoming a country of hypocrites.

LABOR VIEW - The laboring masses are restless, as evidenced by the Canadian trucker strike, union drives in Amazon warehouses in the US and in demonstrations throughout the developing world

COMMENTARY - If our qualifications for moving up in the world are reduced to our body parts and skin pigmentation, what a sad world that looks like.

CANCEL CULTURE - A couple of days after the public shaming and suspension punishment of Whoopi Goldberg for saying that “the Holocaust isn’t about race,” I combed the Internet to see if any Jewish leader would cut her some slack.

ISRAEL WATCH - Israel dismisses charges of “apartheid against Palestinians” as anti-Semitic propaganda, and the United States has been an enabler of Israeli racism over the years with its hands-off attitudes toward the inhumanity of Israeli actions on the West Bank and Gaza. 

LEGITIMATE POLITICAL DISCOURSE - If you’re the sort of person who follows the news, you’ve probably heard a good bit lately about podcaster Joe Rogan, Neil Young’s fight with Spotify, and maybe a little about Russia and Ukraine.

PERSPECTIVE - Commentators on the current Ukraine crisis have sometimes compared it to the Cuban missile crisis. This is a good comparison and not only because they both involve a dangerous U.S.-Russian confrontation capable of leading to a nuclear war.
