Who Radicalized Tyler Robinson?

VOICES

THE VIEW FROM HERE - The question assumes a fact not in existence – that some one or some website radicalized him.  It is not even a fact that he is radical; all murderers are not radical.  If he had a personal motive, would that qualify him as radicalized? With the many shootings in America, on what facts do we assert that Tyler was radical?  We do not call all shooters “radicalized,” a term which implies we need to look for someone in addition to the shooter.  Did some left wing podcast radicalize Tyler.  Did Mormonism radicalize Tyler?  Did his roommate, who was male transitioning to female, radicalize him? Did his on a gaming website radicalize Tyler?  Does Tyler’s use of the Groyper meme indicate that Nick Fuentes played a role?

Trump Blames the Far Left for Radicalizing Tyler

On what basis does Trump assert that there was some far Left organization behind Tyler’s action?  Since most shootings are lone wolves, why would anyone assume there was organization behind the shooting?  If so, was it Nick Fuentes?  Does Tyler’s use of an alleged Furry meme indicate that Furries radicalized him?  When a shooting targets only one person with a non-assault type rifle, it is more likely to be personal.  It seems the main reason Trump and others are asking who radicalized Tyler is due to the political reputation of Charlie Kirk.

SPECULATION ALERT!  Did Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk Radicalize Tyler Robinson?

The following discussion is based too few facts to be probative, but there are facts consistent with Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk as the most likely radicalizes.  Let’s look at the text with his roommate and the prosecutor’s statement.  They are consistent with the theory that Trump and Kirk himself radicalized Tyler to the point he thought murder was an acceptable action.

The nature of the text conversation with his roommate is consistent with his roommate did not radicalize him and had no idea what Tyler planned. His roommate did not even know or suspect that Tyler had done it until Tyler texted him and then the roommate asked why Tyler did it. Tyler replied: “I had enough of his [Kirk’s] hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”   If Tyler had been radicalized by his roommate - lover or by some Left Wing website, it is unlikely the conversation would have gone like that.  His roommate would have already known who put the idea into Tyler’s head.  While parents often do not know what their children are doing online, his  male to female Trans lover would have known.

Tyler also says, “since Trump got into office [my dad] has been pretty diehard maga.”  However, Tyler does not refer to his dad in a pejorative way.   Tyler is concerned about his grandfather’s wanting to know where the gun is. The gun used to belong to the grandpa.  At this point, the prosecutor provides helpful information.  He says that Tyler’s involvement with his Trans roommate - lover caused significant dissension with his father with his father’s MAGA view. Tyler was open about his dislike for Charlie Kirk, but there is no mention by the family of Tyler’s mentioning any other influence e.g., left wing website or podcaster. The prosecutor may have omitted such information.

Although his lover was Trans, we do not know the social dynamics which resulted in Tyler's believing that murdering Kirk was the right thing to do.  His roommate-lover seems to have been clueless. From the little we know, Donald Trump and his MAGA beliefs and Charlie Kirk with his strict fundamental Christianity may have radicalized Tyler. Also, I do not see any Left Wing website which had urged anyone to murder Charlie Kirk.  The FBI’s recent report on domestic violence found that the Right Wing leads all other groups in violence and murders.  According to his morning House hearings of Kash Patel, Patel had that report removed from the FBI website.

The Hostility Which an Extremist Generates Can Radicalize Opponents

One could point to Kirk’s comment about the shooting at Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee in 2023, where three children and three adults were killed. Kirk declared, "It's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."  Three children were murdered! But Kirk thought that some guns deaths “every single year . . . worth it.”  The Right Wing claims that Kirk was misquoted, but he was not.  My point is not that Kirk deserved to be shot, but his comment could have helped to radicalize Tyler.  “OK hot shot. I’ll help your second amendment cause with a bullet through your head.”

Did Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump Radicalize Tyler?

From what we know so far, Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump were probably the people most responsible for “radicalizing" Tyler.  Trump kicked all the Trans out of the military and were denying them medical treatment which the medical profession said was appropriate. Kirk thought that the morality which the government should adopt was the right wing Fundamentalist view. Kirk rejected the concept of Separation of Church and State in favor of his right wing religious dogma becoming the national morality.  Sounds kind of Sharia  to me.

Kirk referred to Leviticus 20:13 as God’s Perfect Sexual law.  "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Due to his lover being a male to female Trans, Kirk’s punitive Biblical citations and his role in having Trump kick Transgender people out of the military may have radicalized Tyler.

One cannot overlook the fact that Charlie Kirk was a very polarizing far right Wing influencer who was famous for his hostility to Transgender people.  Also, no one has pointed to any Left Wing influencer who had been advocating for Kirk’s assassination.  The evidence is consistent with Trump and Kirk being the persons most responsible for Tyler’s radicalization, while Tyler Robinson alone remains liable for his murdering Charlie Kirk.
