THE VIEW FROM HERE - As a surprise to no one except Donald Trump, Putin has directed Trump to abandon Ukraine and to protect Iran from Israel.
Ukraine’s woes began with Joe Biden’s slow walking military aid to Zelenskyy when Ukraine could have repelled Russia’s invasion. Biden was motivated Obama’s effete foreign policy that America, as a DEI oppressor nation, should not use force to back up its foreign policy. Rather, appeasement of countries like Iran, China, and Russia would bring about peace supposedly because tyrants would be so favorably impressed by our forbearance that they would drop their predatory ways. Neville Chamberlain’s similar policy worked so well before World War II that Obama-Biden adopted it. In a nation turning to Woke DEI, virtue signaling had become the strongest tool in the Obama arsenal. Oops, “arsenal” is a non-PC word as it’s too aggressive. Let’s change that “tool in Obama’s stock of homilies.”
As the world saw with Syria, President Obama’s drawing a red line in the sand and telling Assad that he may not cross that line by using chemical weapons on his people was a winner foreign policy – for Assad’s policy which gassed tens of thousands of Syrians. Obama scurried away, shaking his finger at Assad saying “Tsk Tsk.”
Enter the boisterous Donald Trump proclaiming how Russia would never had invaded Ukraine if he had been President. Yes, Biden’s effete cowardice in the face of Russian aggression lends credence to Trump’s loud talk. However, there is a serious problem with Trump’s response to Putin’s invasion – which no one wants to acknowledge. In 2016, Trump flew into a Narcissistic Rage when Ukraine’s Zelenskyy did not interfere in the US’s 2016 Presidential elections by starting an investigation into Hunter Biden. Trump’s Narcissistic Rage was re-enforced by the Dems’ failed impeachment attempt in 2019. (Pelosi intentionally sabotaged the 2020 Senate vote on impeachment by withholding vital evidence from the record. See Pelosi’s Subversion. Had Pelosi allowed the evidence gathering to continue, the GOP would have voted to convict Trump. Back in 2019 -2020, the GOP leadership hated Trump and had planned to Nixonize him as soon the Adam Schiff’s committee produced more stellar witnesses and evidence so that more GOP rank and file would continue to turn against Trump. Pelosi’s stopping the evidence, however, emboldened the pro Trump forces. As a result, the GOP lacked both the evidence and the support of GOP voters.)
While lay persons may be excused from not recognizing that Trump suffers from serious personality conditions, US Congresspersons and Senators, have a duty to consult professionals when confronted withe bizarre behavior in other politicians and foreign leaders. Everyone in the US government should have had a psychological assessment of Putin, Trump, Zelenskyy, and every other important person.
Not enough people know that we have a forum to discuss personalities and how people with particular personalities will behave in ascertain ways. Poker players know that people have a tell, that is, a characteristic behavior which subconsciously signals what a player feels about his cards. In an on-going effort spanning decades, psychiatrists and psychologists have classified behavior patterns into definable categories. This gigantic endeavor is the “DSM 5.” The official name is Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition. It seldom goes into etiology of disorders, limiting itself to definition mental conditions based upon behavior. Eventually, the words “mental disorders” will most likely be discarded and the DSM will define personalities, good, bad and indifferent. Everyone has a personality and everyone acts according to his personality since it flows from his neurology. Presently, society is at the stage of describing behavior patterns which we think are bad, ignoring that “good people” also follow their own personality patterns.
Back To Trump and His Mental Conditions
Most DSM conditions cannot be diagnosed from afar and require one-on-one interviews, psychological testing, and sometimes medical lab tests. Personality Disorders, however, are a category where observable behavior can result in valid diagnoses without personal interviews, testing or lab work. Trump has Histrionic and Narcissistic Personality Disorder with paranoid features. He also seems to be hyperthymic. This condition is not necessarily bad. See Hyperthymic Because hyperthymic can last for years and years, in the short term others may think it is merely manic behavior and the person will tire. Hyperthymic people, however, do not tire. It is not a disorder, but a gift.
With Trump, however, his hyperthymia comes with his personality disorders and paranoia, making him a greater danger than a hyperthymic person who may write and direct movies. Histrionics are not only impulsive but lack the ability of foresight. Because they are habituated to the feedback of the roar of the crowd, that do whatever brings cheers. Histrionics also have the talent to tell an audience whatever it wants to hear. All cult leaders have this capacity. Because people (sheeople) with extremist views shout the loudest, the histrionic intuitively knows to cater to them to build a following. That’s why Trump can drone on for hours draining of the energy of non-extremists, while he grows stronger and stronger with each passing non sequitur, contradiction, and foolish lie.
Narcissists are easily offended and hold grudges which can last a life time. Trump had a Narcissistic Rage over Zelenskyy and that is the major reason Trump wants Ukraine to lose the war – as a personal punishment of Zelenskyy, complicated by Trump’s love affair with Putin. One should not confuse Trump’s saying nasty things about people like Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz; that’s just how Trump shows dominance. Had they done anything to harm his ego and provoke a narcissistic rage, they’d be gone. Former Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo seems to have so offended Trump.
Worst of All for the USA, Is Trump’s Infatuation with Vladimir Putin
While we should not rule out that Putin has Trump’s tax returns and other financial data showing how indebted Trump is to Russian oligarchs, Putin may also have incriminating videos of Trumps’ sexcapades. Trump’s subservience to Putin is often on display. One may pass off Trump’s hostility to his being in a Narcissistic Rage at Zelenskyy, but in other areas, Trump’s kissing up to Putin is problematic. One Histrionic trait is an unreasonable belief of close personal relations with other people. Is there a dictator with whom Trump does not claim a close relationship? However, when it comes Putin, there seems to be an additional dimension. Explaining this part of Trump’s psychic may require an extensive history of Trump’s private thoughts and the cause may be so deeply repressed that it will never come to light — but it will control Trump’s obsequiously fawning after Putin.
As Little Marco told the world, America is about to abandon Ukraine at the peace talks because Russia refuses to bargain in good faith, except Trump still blames Zelenskyy’s for starting the war. Trump is claiming that Ukraine is Europe’s problem so that when Putin takes all of Ukraine, Trump will blame Europe. The damage this scenario will do to NATO and to the USA is incalculable, but beyond Trump’s ability to foresee.
Now Putin Has Told Trump, “Hands off Iran.”
Did Pig Hegseth leak to Putin that Israel wanted to take out Iran’s nukes within the month? In any event, Trump vetoed the plan, despite Iran’s being a week away from having enough grade weapons-grade uranium to make a nuclear device. Instead, Trump is dutifully following Putin’s directive to seek only a negotiated agreement with Iran.
With all this focus on Trump, let’s remember that it was Senator John Thune who sold out the Republic, the Constitution, his fellow Senators, all Americans, and the free world by insisting that all Trump’s hideous nominees be approved. So now, Trump has only sycophants and ass kissers around him. See Thune Lacks Integrity
