Trump’s Return to the White House Signals Major Changes Ahead

VOICES

RANTZ & RAVEZ - Look for Major changes in American Politics as we move out of 2024 and into 2025.  A newly elected President and Senate and Congress and California Senate and Assembly and even local elected officials…..

This Years End of Watch Edition of RantZ and RaveZ brings closure to 2024 and paves the way forward toward 2025.  There will be a New President and host of other elected officials sworn into National, State and Local Office to lead large and small towns across America forward into the New Year and beyond.

With the National Debt at around $35 Trillion Dollars, there are many issues our National Leaders have to deal with in future years.

The November Election Returns have all been tabulated and the impact on American families and the world has been a major shock to some and relief for others.  Depending on your political leanings, some of you are very happy with the results of the recent elections while others are frustrated and angry with some expressing a desire to move out of America to some other country in a far away land.

With former President Donald Trump soon returning to the White House that should  have alerted everyone in America and around the globe that major changes are coming in the way American government operates within our boarders and beyond.

Our form of Democracy will continue into the future with some modifications imposed on us.  Major Immigration changes are on the table along with a host of other significant impacts on our society.  While some are pleased with the anticipated new direction of America, others are not as happy and have expressed their concerns and opposition in a variety of ways.  The bottom line is very simple.  We can expect America to spread her wings and find various new ways to operate in the ever-changing world as we move forward into 2025.  Those frequent words we hear from time to time mean more now than in the past.  “May God Bless America from Sea to Shining Sea.”

The End of Year preliminary Los Angeles Citywide Crime Profile shows LAPD personnel are hard at work with fewer officers than in past years.

As of the end of November, there are 8786 sworn LAPD personnel serving a population of 3,908705 in an area of 472.93 square miles.

There have been 250 Murders, 1257 Rapes, 7852 Robberies and 22,617 Stolen Vehicles with one month left in the year.  The Year-end crime stats will be published at the end of the year.

It is hoped that the LAPD can increase the ranks as Los Angeles approaches the major international events headed to L. A. in the next few years.  If you know an eligible candidate for the LAPD, information is available at JOINLAPD.COM.

While on the subject of public safety, if you always wanted to be a member of Law Enforcement and are now in your later years of life and still have that desire, I have the plan for you.

The California Highway Patrol is looking for YOU!  Not for that stop sign you failed to make the complete STOP!  Not for the Speeding in the School Zone and not for your expired registration on your car.  Yes, there is still time to wear a CHP volunteer uniform and volunteer at your local CHP office, only if you meet the qualifications.  Alan Scher contacted me and asked that I mention this program.

The CHP has a Senior Volunteer Program that engages in a variety of Traffic Safety programs throughout the region.  Activities include Patrol at local schools, Direct Traffic, assist at the CHP Office, Teach Driver safety programs to seniors in the community and a long list of other activities.  There is NO AGE restriction on this program and you will NOT have to scale walls or learn how to shoot or engage in  Vehicular Pursuits.  So, if you still have that burning desire to work alongside Professional CHP Officers and give something back to your community, contact John Fitzpatrick at 818 404 6500 or John [email protected].  Please don’t call the local CHP Office.

As we close 2024, look at how FAST-FOOD prices changed since 2019.

McDonald's is an example of how inflation has impacted our wallet.

How Governor Gavin Newsom will continue to ruin our lives in 2025.

It was Governor Newsom in 2009 who brought George Gascón to San Francisco as the Police Chief, then the District Attorney of San Francisco.  From there Gascón moved to Los Angeles County and ran against District Attorney Jackie Lacey and became the Los Angeles County District Attorney and began to destroy public safety throughout all 88 cities of Los Angeles County.  Fortunately, our new District Attorney Nathan Hochman will assume office on December 3, 2025.  Not too soon to re-establish public safety throughout  Los Angeles County no thanks to Gavin Newsom.

Now Governor Newsom has pushed to increase the price of gasoline up hundreds of dollars annually for all who drive gas-powered vehicle.  This does not impact Newsom since he has CHP transportation wherever he travels.

To add more conflict to his agenda, Governor Newsom has established a $25 Million Fund to fight Donald Trump and his administration when he takes office as the 47th President of the United States on January 20th.  When you look at your shrinking dollars and extreme cost to live in California, you can Thank Gavin Newsom and his Sacramento colleagues who have let California fall into a Homeless and Crime infested and unaffordable state.

One more item you should know about Governor Gavin Newsom….Gavin is moving his family from Fair Oaks, California to a $9.1 million-dollar 6-bedroom home in the community of Kentfield in Marin County, California.

As 2024 winds down , I wish you and your families a Very Happy Holiday Season and Happy New Year.  RantZ and RaveZ will return in 2025 with more tales of Los Angeles….
