THE VIEW FROM HERE - As Kamala Harris made clear at the Democrat National Convention, a crucial theme was “end the racist-sexist domestic Wokeism.” See, Stop the Race Card Not only was it a main theme in her acceptance speech, but it was in Hillary Clinton’s speech – gone was her castigation of the Deplorables. Kamala based herself on the traditional American value, best stated by Martin Luther King, don’t judge people by skin color, but by individual merit. Kamala reiterated this point during her August 29, 2024, CNN interview.
Building upon this theme, Kamala and Coach Walz ventured into Christian Trumplandia in Georgia, recognizing that in order to win the election, she will need Centrists and those right of center. Crucial to getting even a few conservative Christian votes is distancing her campaign from Hamas Joe’s anti-Israel-bashing with his non-stop Blood Libels. While Biden perfunctorily says he supports Israel’s right to self-defense, he habitually objects to 90% of Israel’s self-defense. The only action acceptable to Hamas Joe is for Israel to shoot-down missiles aimed at Israel. (Hamas Joe is also effete in protecting America’s service personnel from Iranian attacks. His non-reaction to the multi-billion dollar loss in international trade due to the Houthis’ shelling ships in the Red Sea is inexcusable.)
Few Americans Are Aware of Bidenspeak
(1) “Cease-fire” means Israel should surrender to Hamas and leave Hamas in charge of Gaza.
(2) “Dead Civilians” includes about 50% dead Hamas militants without mention that there would be no civilian dead without Hamas’ using Gazans as human shields, and refusing to allow civilians to have shelter from the bombings, while Hamas remains safely underground.
(3) Biden’s withholding “2000 bombs which kill civilians” covers up the fact that these are the ground penetrating bombs [that] can destroy many tunnels, killing Hamas and thus shorten the war. When Israel has to use smaller bombs, that guarantees more dead civilians, whom Hamas forces to stay in harm’s way on the surface so that they will be killed or maimed. Crucial to Hamas’ war strategy is Hamas Joe’s and the Woke US media’s blaming Israel for civilians deaths -- a Hamas term which includes Hamas militants. Even after the UN admitted that at least ½ the “civilian dead” were not civilians, Hamas Joe never corrected his anti-Jewish blood libel.
(4) “Israel should use restraint to reduce civilian casualties” means Israel should not seek out and destroy Hamas. The big lie here is that Israel already, based on is own rules of combat, was doing more than any other nation to protect Gazan civilians. Hamas Joe continually issues these warnings to Israel for the sole purpose to make it falsely appear that Israel is the unwarranted aggressor.
Conservative Christians are Not Dependent on Woke US Media
As I columnist, one has to pay attention to wide range of media. Much of the far right media is batshit crazy, but mainstream Christian media is better on the facts than either extreme. One need not agree with their religious views in order to see that they report a realistic picture of Hamas – it’s a terrorist organization whose goal is to exterminate Jews. These conservative Christians will not vote for Dems against the facts and against their religious convictions. While Kamala is trying to build on her convention’s anti-Woke theme, she cannot succeed with these Christians while Hamas Joe persists in his anti-Israel and anti-Jewish behavior.
Hamas Joe Is Laying the Ground Work for more Anti-Jewish Violence on College Campuses
As one sees from the Biden Administration’s disinformation on the IDF’s current operations in the West Bank, Biden is priming the anti-Israel protestors for more anti-Jewish violence on American campuses. One need only look at Columbia, whose anti-Israel anti-Jewish President had to resign and witness the favorable welcome the new administration gave to Hamas supporters. Columbia allowed such behavior in face of its own finding that these protests are anti-Semitic and target Jews Let’s clear, these campus protestors are not misguided American youth, but instead they intentionally fuse anti-Israel rhetoric with anti-Jewish attacks. Matters may not be as bad at UCLA this Autumn Semester since a federal judge has already issued a ruling against UCLA. Many Americans were unaware how UCLA’s Jews were being singled out for abuse and discrimination with the UCLA’s acquiescence, because the woke US media kept repeating that “protest is OK but violence is not” and then refusing to report the violence against Jewish students. United States District Court Judge Mark Scarsi, however, made clear that UCLA was not protecting innocent protestors but rather UCLA officialdom was complicitous in rank religious discrimination against Jews.
Can Kamala Avoid a Showdown with Hamas Joe’s anti-Jewish, anti-Israel Conduct?
Kamala is a smart cookie and she has to realize that she cannot hide behind the false distinction between free speech and action. So far, the anti-Jewish anti-Israel protestors have not restrained themselves from anti-Jewish conduct. While it cost them any chance to address Kamala’s convention, they see Kamala as the enemy. Thus, they are unlikely to reform themselves in the upcoming weeks to benefit her. When the IDF makes targeted strikes into West Bank to preemptively prevent another Oct 7th style Hamas attack on Israel, the lead story per Biden’s State Department is that it sanctioned Israeli settlers for alleging harming Palestinians. Has the Biden State Department sanctioned Mexican drug cartels for harming Mexican citizens? Ha! Israel has a history of holding criminally liable Jewish Israelis who harm anyone including Arabs. Biden’s false narrative that Israel is so horrible on Arab civil rights that the US must intervene is designed to turn Americans against Israel. Hamas Joe is providing gasoline for the protestors in advance of the students’ returning to campus. Biden knows that Jewish students will be the targets of the discrimination, abuse and violence. Yet, Hamas Joe continues with the Woke anti-Jewish Blood Libels.
Centrist American Voters Tend to be Pro-Israel
Centrist voters cover a wide, disparate association of people. As a group, they are immune from the political spin of either party; they will not fall for the Biden Administration’s anti-Israel memes. When Kamala needs every center and right of center vote, Hamas Joe is making her goal nearly impossible. The centrist logic is: If Joe Biden’s Administration persists in its false, anti-Israel narrative which places American college students in harm’s way, how independent is Kamala unless she vocalizes her dissent from Hamas Joe? The safer bet for Centrist voters will be the braggadocious loudmouth who has always opposed the Dem‘s anti-Israel foreign policy, who brought peace to the Israel, and who worked out the Abraham Accords.
Post Script Sunday, September 1, 2024: Hamas Murders Six Hostages
Kamala Harris’ official statement is on-line. It is strikingly different from the media quotes from Joe Biden who still supports the Ceasefire, i.e., Israel’s surrender. Her actual words bear repeating. Paragraph 3 states:
“Hamas is an evil terrorist organization. With these murders, Hamas has even more American blood on its hands. I strongly condemn Hamas’ continued brutality, and so must the entire world. From its massacre of 1,200 people to sexual violence, taking of hostages, and these murders, Hamas’ depravity is evident and horrifying. The threat Hamas poses to the people of Israel—and American citizens in Israel—must be eliminated and Hamas cannot control Gaza. The Palestinian people too have suffered under Hamas’ rule for nearly two decades.” [Bold added]
Unlike Biden, Kamala had no talk of Israel’s surrender. The Woke US media, however, only quoted her last paragraph and withheld her agreement with Netanyahu that Hamas must be eliminated. Hamas Joe said that “Hamas’ leaders must be held accountable” whatever that means.
While it took Trump years to turn the GOP to do his bidding, Kamala has only a few weeks, maybe only a number of days, to supplant the effetely disastrous Obama Doctrine including Biden’s pro-Hamas policies with a sane, non-Woke foreign policy for which the Center will vote.
