ALPERN AT LARGE - We’re getting a first-hand view of how Nazism and Fascism come too often from the Left...no matter how much we’re getting gaslighted about how it’s a right-wing kind of thing. Nazism, Socialism, Stalinism, Maoism, and all the biggest players of human rights violation are NOT coming from where youngsters are being told.
Those who feel the need and “right” to trample free speech and individual/divergent thought are those who actually teach the students that “others” are the problem when, in fact, the teachers are the problem.
Not new news, of course, but we’re seeing it on display in major ways we’ve not seen in decades...if ever, in the United States.
When we see Columbia, USC, and UCLA limit the rights of free speech to only one side, or the most violent side, it’s not free speech at all.
And it shows how our universities have become anything BUT education focused.
Being young and stupid and bull-headed is all part of human nature, but it’s sooner or later going to have to switch to the more history-minded, critical-thinking-minded, and wise leaders who let the youngsters speak but not pursue criminal behavior.
How will the wise and older leaders of this nation, be they liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, teach the indoctrinated?
To begin with:
- Demand an answer from the protestors as to what the words “Oslo” and “Munich and “Camp David” mean.
- Demand an answer from the protestors as to what “from the river to the sea” means for the Jews” means.
- Demand an answer from the protestors as to why other Arab nations have thrown out—often violently—the Palestinians because of their penchant towards violence and leftist/fascist treatment and brutality towards women and homosexuals.
- Demand an answer from the protestors as to what happened to all other Jews in the Arab/Mediterranean World over the last century, and how they were shoved out violently with nowhere to go.
- Demand an answer from the protestors as to how many Jews in Israel, and throughout the world, are supposed to die because of their religion, and why they should be forced to live next to a Gaza populated by a majority who still think 10/7/2023 was A-OK.
I suspect that most of the young protestors are confusing screaming with free speech, and confusing “fighting for a cause” with “being used by secret and creepy monied interests.”
And, of course, those who go too far need to have their scholarships, degrees, visas, and potential employment opportunities yanked away from them to learn that they won’t be allowed to bully others just because they think—nay, they “know”—they’re right.
But even more scary—who are the non-student protestors and monied interests behind all this? Who are the foreign and domestic entities funding all this?
And if President Biden and his lieutenants Schumer and Pelosi and others won’t get down to the right balance and education of the screaming crowds, then I’m sure a future President Trump—elected because of their combined crazy—probably will.
