THE VIEW FROM HERE - Upon learning of the Hamas massacre of Jews in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, Hamas’ strategy was clear: Create so much savage carnage including murdering babies and young women plus the kidnapping of hundreds of innocent people, that Israel would have to respond. Hamas not only carefully planned its attack, but had laid the ground work for its greatest ally to help Hamas in its single goal – the eradication of the Jewish People.
Hamas knew that after the world registered its obligatory condemnation, the Woke media would begin its non-stop lies, explaining that Hamas had no choice. The Woke media’s explanation often starts that Hamas had no choice because the Jews occupy Gaza. The Wokers don’t care that Israel had withdrawn from Gaza in 2005 and since then Gaza was 100% self-governing.
The Hamas-Woke lie is more fundamental. Arab murders of Jews started long before the state of Israel existed in 1948. The reality, which the Woke media ignores, is that first came the passion to exterminate Jews and years later, a variety of lies were invented to justify murdering Jews “from the River to the Sea.”
The Woke media covers up that Jews in general and Israel in particular support traditional liberal values, while Hamas opposes all liberal values. Similarly, the Woke media does not inform anyone that Saudi Arabia is introducing what could be called the Great Liberalization. Why? Saudi Arabia and Israel are very close to normalizing relations, which Iran vehemently opposes. Hamas is 100% controlled by Iran; to believe otherwise is absurd. Not only has Iran repeatedly supported Hamas’ mission to exterminate the Jews, but without Iranian support, Hamas would not exist. Furthermore, other Iranian proxies are attacking Israel and the United States. The Woke media has no trouble with Hezbollah’s attacking Israel and Americans in Syria and Iraq coming under enemy fire.
The mind rot of the Woke media for Americans can be seen daily on American TV. CBS, for example, will report on Israel’s recent excursions into northern Gaza, where not a single Gazan has been injured. Yet, all the video is of weeping mothers with babies dying in their arms. Then, there is video footage of children amongst the ruins. Taking video from another place which makes it looks as if Israel is bombing children has become standard American journalism. The Woke media’s entire context of Israel’s Gazan military operation is a web of lies.
Facts Need to Intrude
(1) Gaza Is Not One of the Most Density Populated Places on Earth
Gaza is 5.5 times larger than Manhattan and has about 2.2 million people, while Manhattan has about 1.6 Million people. Although 5.5 times larger than Manhattan, Gaza has only 600,000 more people. In reality, Gaza CITY, in northern Gaza, has a population density about the same as East Hollywood, Los Angeles.
(2) Gaza City Is Very Close to Southern Gaza
The Gaza Strip is only 25 miles long and Gaza City is in the middle of northern Gaza. Thus, in order to evacuate civilians from Gaza City to the south is about 6 miles. Israel has given Gazan weeks to travel 6 miles. Assuming that stepping over an imaginary line from northern Gaza to southern Gaza will not afford much respite, they are within a few miles of safe havens. They cannot travel beyond 12 more miles since that is Gaza’s border with Egypt, who will not open the Rafah Gate. It is 7 miles from LA City Hall to Hollywood and Vine; 13 miles to Beverly Hills City Hall. There is no acceptable reason for any civilians to be in Gaza City.
(3) Hamas Surrounding its Military Installations With Civilians Is a War Crime
Hamas’ use of human shields, e.g., civilian Gazans and Hamas’ hostages, around military targets is war crime. Human Shields are forbidden by Protocol I of the Geneva Conventions as a specific intent war crime. The Woke media never mentions this fact. Wiki Human Shield. Instead, the Woke media concentrates on the requirement that a military must use due care to avoid civilian casualties.
(4) The Woke Media Declare “Lack of IDF Proportionality” Contrary to Facts
When Hamas surrounds its military installations by placing civilians under hospitals, schools, and mosques, Israel, who is legally the non-aggressor due to the October 7, 2023 slaughter and the continued Hamas rockets on Israelis, has the burden to make certain that its attacks where civilians are injured is proportionate.
Media ignores Knock-Knock bombs. The Woke media has been excellent in covering up the IDF’s Knock-Knock policy, which is the dropping of non-lethal “knocks” on the top of targets where there are civilians so that they know to “Get out now.” Since the Hamas soldiers will be safe in their bunkers, the civilians can flee at least a few blocks where the blast won’t reach them. One reason the Woke will not report the Knock-Knock bombs is that it is proof that the IDF is going out of its way to protect civilians even though it is also disclosing to Hamas the IDF’s next target.
Whenever an injured child is found, the Woke media cries that the strike was “disproportionate” with no mention of Human Shields or of Knock Knock warnings. Under most war crime laws, those who give aid and support to the criminals become accomplices after the fact. The extent to which the Woke media consistently declares that any Israeli defensive action where the Woke produce a photo of an injured child regardless whether he was injured in the attack is to give aid and comfort to war criminals.
(5) Hamas Is Depriving Gazans of Food, Water, Medicine and Fuel
On October 27, 2023, the New York Times reported a fact, which has been known since the Hamas attacked Israel, Hamas has months of supplies and it refuses to allow the civilians to have food, water, medicine and fuel. The Woke media is waiting for civilians to die from deprivation so that it can blame the civilian deaths on Israel while concealing the fact that there is an adequate supply of food, water, medicine and fuel inside Gaza. Perhaps, this New York Times story is a crack in the Hamas Woke Media alliance.

As supplies of virtually every basic human necessity dwindle in Gaza, one group in the besieged enclave remains well-stocked: Hamas. . . .
Hamas has spent years stockpiling desperately needed fuel, food and medicine, as well as ammo and weapons, in the miles of tunnels it has carved out under Gaza. . . . Hamas has hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel for vehicles and rockets; caches of ammunition, explosives and materials to make more; and stockpiles of food, water and medicine, the officials said. A senior Lebanese official said Hamas, which is estimated to number between 35,000 and 40,000, had enough stocked away to keep fighting for three to four months without resupply. No cease fire is required for Gazans to have food, water, medicine, and fuel, because its own government, Hamas, has enough already inside Gaza.
(6) Hamas’ Taking of Civilian Hostages Is a War Crime
The idea that Hamas can abduct 200 plus hostages and then Woke media may clamor for a cease fire so that the hostages can be released is ludicrous. Taking hostages is a war crime; holding hostages and bargaining for release of hostages are war crimes. Hamas can release every hostage today. Hamas needs no cease fire. For the Woke media to pretend otherwise makes it morally complicit in war crimes.
As noted at the outset, it was clear on October 7, 2023 that Hamas was counting on its best ally, the Woke media, to protect it from the consequences of its savage war crimes. Exactly as Hamas had planned, the Woke media has been broadcasting its false portray of Israel as the aggressor and the IDF’s self-defense actions as war crimes, while assiduously concealing Hamas’ continued war crimes.
