He also makes claims of constructing 500,000 affordable homes when Los Angeles is losing hundreds of thousands due to excessive densification. Is he also behind the leaked audio tape? However, today’s question is: Who is the real Karen Bass?
Ms. Bass’s television commercials claims that she can bring people together, but what has she said or done in light of the false racist charges against Hispanics? What has she done with Blacks’ demands that another Black be made city council president after we’ve just finished with eight (8) years (2012 to 2020) of Herb Wesson’s being city council president? During that time, Los Angeles’s homeless problem became a Homeless Crisis!
Will the real Karen Bass bring facts to the table? Blacks are only 8% of the city and have 20% of the council seats. Will the real Karen Bass explain how that is under-representation?
Will the real Karen Bass, who supports Democrat Identity Politics, admit that since Hispanics are 48% of Los Angeles, they merit seven (7) council seats. Does she side with BLM’s Michael Williams’ and Earl Ofari Hitchinson of Pres. L.A. Urban Policy Roundtable demand that Cedillo and de Leon should resign leaving Hispanics with one council seat?
How can Angelenos “come together” when we are fed non-stop lies against Hispanics in what appears to be a Black power grab?
The LA Times Claims That Karen Bass Convened a Meeting.
“Before a closed-door meeting at Los Angeles Trade Technical College with community leaders and elected officials on Tuesday morning, Rep. Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) called for unity. Those in attendance at L.A. Trade Tech included former Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-Los Angeles), Los Angeles Urban League President and Chief Executive Michael Lawson, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights Executive Director Angelica Salas and L.A. Is that the real Karen Bass, the politico who convenes closed door meetings?
Is this the real Karen Bass who excludes Anglos (48% of Los Angeles) and Asians (15% of Los Angeles) from secret, behind-closed-doors power meetings? (The percentages of Hispanic, Anglo, Asian, Blacks total more than 100% which is another indication that Woker proportional representation is wack.) Nonetheless, it seems that the Blacks believe that they can ignore the majority of Angelenos when divvying up the city behind closed doors.
Will the real Karen Bass continue to side with Rick Caruso and unjustly call for Hispanics to be stripped of political power?
If Angelenos accede to these demands, then the Blacks will have six council seats plus Blacks will be city council president. Hispanics will have only one council seat. If Karen Bass wins, LA will also have a Black Mayor?
Will the real Karen Bass repudiate racist Identity Politics?
BTW, who else suspects that Rick Caruso is behind the leaked audio tape in return for his promising big labor to construct 500,000 affordable housing units? Karen Bass was not promising hundreds of thousands more construction; she wanted to utilize existing places for the homeless. LA County Federation of Labor made the tape and it will benefit from massive construction. When the leak came, Caruso was way behind in number of likely voters.
Caruso and the Federation had nothing to lose and everything to gain by bringing a political conflagration upon Los Angeles. Isn’t it a wee bit unusual that all the anti-Hispanic newspaper articles and opinion pieces were out long before anyone could see the actual conversation? (Recuerde, Nury dijo “este niño.” Ella no dijo “este chinguito.” Later she described the kid’s behavior on the railings as “parece chinguto,” but it had zero to do with his race.)
Angelenos including Anglo, Jewish, Asian, Armenian, etc. as well as the Blacks and the Hispanics need to know if the Labor Federation leaked the tape to help Rick Caruso be elected.
We need the real Karen Bass to stand up. Will we see a Karen Bass who plays woker identity politics or will we see a Karen Bass who has integrity?
