CommentsONE MAN’S OPINION-The existence of the two secret weapons is rather bizarre as both are beyond his control and none of the pundits will mention them. The first is Nancy Pelosi’s Group Rights (Identity Politics) agenda, and the second is Trumpy-Doodle’s Histrionic Personality Disorder.
Why Does the Media Refuse to Deal with Reality?
The primary reasons that both the right wing and the left-wing media have no interest in exploring these determinative factors in politics is a blatant betrayal of journalism. Neither will publish information unless it supports their own ideology. Pravda West has no use for analysis which does not support Democratic politics. Likewise, the right-wing media like Freedom Watch shuns reality. Its misleading coverage of Nancy Pelosi’s pet anti-Semites, Rep Omar and Rep Tlaib, can make one feel sorry for them.
Group Rights Focus on the Threat of the Evil Other
Group Rights boils down to the politics of grievance and paranoia. If Group Rights meant that people spent more time working hard to improve themselves and helping people in their own group, we might have a segmented society, but not a nation on verge internecine warfare. Because anger, resentment, fear and blaming the other bring in the campaign dollars and turn out the votes, both the right wing and the left-wing focus on the threat which the other groups pose. Life becomes a situation where “My group can survive only if The Evil Other does not.” Thus, Group Rights turn to the politics of destruction.
The Widespread Acceptance of the Politics of Destruction
Pelosi makes certain that all her gaggle of groupies know that the enemy is the White people. White racism is branded onto all people of light skin hue because, in her world of Group Rights, nothing is stronger than racism. Thus, hard work, intelligence, education, talent, a supportive family, a culture with is in sync with an urban technological society count for nothing. (This White Entitlement theory does have some trouble in appealing to some Gays and Jews (many who think that they’re White). Pelosi makes clear that Whites are the problem and within the foreseeable future, she and her cohorts plan to banish the Whites by out voting them.
Realizing that by 2040, Islam will be more prevalent than Judaism, Pelosi has launched the Democratic bid to be the home of anti-Semites. American history has heretofore shown that the longer ethnic groups are in America, the less anti-Semitic they become. Pelosi’s catering to the anti-Semitism of Reps Omar and Talib, however, goes against American history. Why? Because the old American ideal was E Pluribus Unum (one nation from many peoples) or The Melting Pot. This concept is antithetical to Pelosi’s Group Rights agenda.
Pelosi and the Dems under her control do not set forth programs that encourage people to retain their unique cultures at home but to follow the public culture of individual inalienable rights in public. Rather, her agenda exhorts people to bring their private grievances into the public realm.
The GOP Love Pelosi’s Group Rights
The more Pelosi blames whites and pretends that basically all white people are directly or indirectly white supremacists, the happier the GOP becomes. Not only does that tie the violent, gun-loving far-right to the GOP, it also makes the moderate GOP voters fear for their safety and their children’s future.
It really doesn’t take an intellectual giant to realize that the American opposition to gun crazed lunatics in schools, stores and music concerts should be based on respect for the individual and a complete and unequivocal rejection of all forms of Group Rights. Our inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is to be safe from being murdered for the political benefit of some power-mad politico.
Our nation is intentionally divided along group lines where some have the horrid idea that killing other people is an acceptable solution to life’s problems, and where many are so fearful of “the other” that they do not dare put down their guns. Gun control is like mass transit; there is great support for it, but only for other people.
The Second Secret Weapon is Trump’s Histrionic Personality Disorder
Trump’s histrionics gives him the talent to play to the cheering crowd. Call Trump an idiot-savant in this regard; his histrionic personality disorder is evident every day:
- His dramatic, impressionistic speech lacks detail.
Because Histrionics are intellectually shallow their speech lacks any exact meaning. As Trump showed last week when he said he had “second thoughts” about China trade. The foolish media were so eager to improvidently lambast Trump that they used that comment to mean Trump knew his China trade policy was bad. Oops, no. His “second thought” was that he had not raised tariffs high enough.
- He has an exaggerated, theatrical, emotional expression.
Trump instinctively knows (as opposed to thinking the matter through) if he jumps to the opposite, it will be a dramatic, theatrical moment for him. And, it was last week. His base loved it.
- He is easily influenced by others or by situations.
This feature of the Histrionic coupled with the need for constant cheering and being the center of attention means that Trump can change course in an instant. Together these features mean that during the 2020 campaign, Trump has the talent to instantaneously pivot. “We need strong background checks” . . . (wait, wait, wait) “. . . we have great background checks. I will always defend the 2nd Amendment.”
These characteristics, which seem like liabilities, endow the histrionic with an uncanny ability to play to the crowd in ways that no sane person can.
When Trump’s two secret weapons are combined, his re-election becomes likely. Group Rights focus on the evil of “the other” which makes millions of voters long for safety. That means a crazy strong man can garner the votes of the fearful. (So far, only one Dem candidate has a chance of being the antidote to Trump-mania.)
