The Myopic Bigotry of Wokerism

IMPORTANT READS

VIEW FROM HERE-Wokerism has not been around long, at least not by that name. It refers to the Left wing anti-white racist ideology that all things white are evil and all things minority are good.

Being Woke did not start out as racist just as critical race theory did not start out being racist. But in the hands of the Dems, especially Nancy Pelosi and those to her left, both have degenerated into divisive racism.

Woker’s Origin

People who belong to minorities have a different perception of the larger society than the larger society has of itself. This phenomenon is true for Jews and Gays as well as Roman Catholics and various Hispanic peoples. When I was a kid, I heard Christians say around Christmastime, “Don’t shop at Shoeman’s Fashion Center for Christmas. They’re Jews.” So I chimed in, “Instead, shop at the National Clothing Company,” where my dad was merchandise manager. I neglected to mention that The National was the largest Jewish store in town.

We lived on a street with a divinity school a few blocks away, and thus, the main profession inhabiting our street was Protestant ministers. One day, one of the minister’s wives said to Sally P., a Catholic mother of three children, “Mary, Mary, Mary. All you Catholics think about is Mary.”

The instance I remember most clearly is when a nice Christian father put his arm around my shoulders when I was a teenager and warned me not to associate with Jews as “Jews are over sexed.” Two thoughts instantly and simultaneously appeared in my mind: (1) he obviously doesn’t know I am Jewish and (2) I hope so!

None of these and similar incidents interfered with my life until the California Chief Justice decided that my being a troublemaker Jew who would “refuse Jesus Christ” was a constitutional ground for a judge to rule against me and exclude my client from court. The main response has been my gathering increasing evidence of judicial money laundering, but that’s a story for another day.

So, as a kid I, like other minorities, had a wokeness. I saw aspects of the larger society of which WASPs were unaware, but what I was not woke to was how bad it was for others. A few years later when I was at Claremont Men’s College (CMC) in Claremont, California, I worked with the Teen Post in the barrio. I discovered two disturbing things: (1) Mexican students at Montclair High were not permitted to get a grade higher than a C, and (2) Mexican students who spoke Spanish in the ball field were suspended. Since education was the main upward mobility route for virtually everyone, I realized that this was quite serious. Interestingly, Claremont High school which bordered on Montclair was the opposite. It was open and fair to everyone. As I later was a sub teacher at Claremont, I saw that the two contiguous school districts were miles and years apart.

How Did Woke Become a Divisive Force which is Likely to Bring the GOP Back to Power?

Since most people tend to be a minority in some aspect of their lives, virtually everyone can accept as genuine the woke observations of others. The very fact that others have different woke stories can be a uniting force among individuals of different backgrounds. It can be similar to teenagers bonding by bitching about how their parents don’t understand them. However, certain Dems decided to make Black Wokeness into a sword to slice and dice the nation for their own political advantage. The motive behind Dem Identity Politics was not helping Blacks or anyone else.

Identity Politics is the name of the Dems’ Group Rights agenda where the group to which you belong is far more important than you as an individual. Martin Luther King has been thrown into the trash bin.  Treating people based on individual character rather than race does not lend itself to a reliable voting bloc. It’s much easier to use the woke experience of a particular group to separate Blacks from Whites by elevating their woke experience as the only really important aspect of life.

Sufficiently contrite whites will be tolerated. Woke ceased to be a unifying force within a group and became an attack on outsiders. Under the more extreme form, woke has the tenet that all whites are evil. It includes the concept of Inherited Guilt which the Declaration and MLK rejected. The White Supremacists hold a similar belief that Blacks are an existential threat to the nation.

White Supremacy and Identity Politics are the Same.

The great danger of Right-Wing Group Rights and Left-Wing Group Rights is that facts cease to exist.  People accept something as true not based upon evidence but based on what the group leaders tell them. The Melting Pot is gone; almost no one wants to join with others in a single stew where everyone gets to keep their individuality. The Wokers openly attack the concept of individualism and thereby they reject Martin Luther King’s “I Have Dream” speech. “Free at last” is dead in favor of Equality. White Supremacy also rejects the Declaration of Independence, that each person has the same individual inalienable rights. The absurd irony is that both the WSs and the Wokers hate our nation’s founding values.

Although we rebelled against the British system of Group Rights and wrote founding documents to end all Group Rights, especially slavery, the lust for power has overtaken too many American politicos. Presently, Dem Wokerism poses a greater threat to our nation’s future than White Supremacy, whose danger rests not in their numbers but in their violence. The Dems gain votes and make money by stirring up the White Supremacists.

The White Supremacists did not organize the Charlottesville Unite the Right Rally. Wes Bellamy, the Black Democrat vice-mayor of Charlottesville, put together the Alt Right rally by promising them a huge counter demonstration. Other Charlottesville leaders told Bellamy to stop because the Alt Right with its KKK and Nazis wanted national publicity and he was promising them just that. Bellamy continued to taunt the Alt Right leaders and to stoke the passions of the Left to counterprotest the White Supremacists. The national Dem leadership like Nancy Pelosi did not care if Bellamy’s character was one of racism and homophobia.

Without Democrat Wes Bellamy, Heather Heyder would not be dead as there would have been no Unite the Right Rally. Today the Dems have no shame. They use Charlottesville and Heather Heyder’s death as a fund-raising opportunity.
