CommentsRESISTANCE WATCH--Please join the West Valley Resistance and Stand Strong LA in attending the LA City Council meeting at Van Nuys City Hall on Friday, Feb 2nd at 10 am to support our Councilman Bob Blumenfield, along with the entire City Council, who is working daily to defeat Trump's horrid agenda
As many of you know, CM Blumenfield worked closely with the WVR to bring forth the Impeachment Resolution, which passed unanimously on May 5, 2017, making LA the largest city nationwide to take an official position on Impeachment. Since this resolution has been passed, Bob has received much negative feedback from many of his conservative constituents.
Bob, as well as the majority of the LA City Councilmembers have also been huge supporters of our issues, including immigration, civil liberties and empathy for the homeless and less fortunate. When we can, we need to give back, and the time is now!
Every two months, the LA City Council meet at Van Nuys City Hall. Unfortunately, many of the attendees are conservative and loudly voice their opposition to the City Council. Therefore, we as Progressives, need to counterbalance the negativity by vocalizing our support for their diligent efforts in protecting all citizens of this great city.
I hope you can all attend, and if you feel comfortable, please fill out a Speaker Card, and let your voice be heard. Depending on the amount of speakers, you will be given 1-2 minutes to speak, so please be concise and brief. THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!!!
