LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One of Hollywood’s leading comedy stars is hoping to turn laughter into votes in the race for the next mayor of Los Angeles.
Will Ferrell is featured in a video posted on YouTube urging voters to support mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti.
The former “Saturday Night Live” and “Anchorman” star opens the video with one of his signature – and seemingly improvised – comedy riffs.
“You may remember me from movies like ‘Expendables 2′, ‘The Day of the Dolphin’, or ‘Harlem Nights’,” Ferrell says.
The self-described native Angeleno, business owner, and father of three goes on to tout his support for Garcetti’s political record – along with Ferrell’s view of the two men as “lifelong friends.” (Read more)
