Hatred has No Place Anywhere in the World

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY--The attack that occurred on Saturday night in the home of Rabbi Chaim Rottenberg, wasn’t just an attack on him, his guests, or his family. It was an attack on all of us, Jew and non-Jew. As long as I have been alive, I was raised to respect every race, creed, ethnicity, and color. I also raised my children to be tolerant of others as well.

The recent rash of attacks on Jews are very similar to the attacks that occurred earlier in the year against Muslims. These are hate crimes, pure and simple. Next week when Congress reconvenes, it should pass a Domestic Terrorism Act. This isn’t just for the Jewish community, It’s for everyone who has ever been on the receiving end of prejudice and injustice.

I urge everyone who is reading this and is outraged to contact their Congressional representatives and Senators to make this their first order of business in 2020.
