CityWatch Today: Stop the Spin

WORLD WATCH

GROUP THINK—it’s the 25th anniversary of the 1992 Rodney King aftermath. Mostly referred to as the 1992 Riots. There have been myriad documentaries and much analysis. Much of it covering the same territory and providing similar conclusions. No surprise in this age of group think. If by chance, however, you would like perspective outside of the group think lines … check out Dick Platkin’s piece in Today’s CityWatch. He wonders: ‘Can’t we all just … stop the spin?’

Speaking of unique and compelling perspectives, the CityWatch cup runneth over. David Bell takes a deep breath and distills the Joe Bray-Ali fall from grace in District 1; Patrick Range McDonald writes about what LA pols won’t talk about ...gentrification of Los Angeles; Tony Butka considers the meaning of bodacious and pricks the ego of CA Senator Bradford; and, Paul Hatfield exposes the pink pension underbelly on the Mayor’s budget. Fascinating stuff. All this … and more … in Today’s CityWatch.

Take a look. Let me know what you think.
