Editor’s Memo: The Real Jose Huizar?

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY—It’s not possible to please all the people all the time. With politicians, that little bromide applies in spades. Today’s CityWatch posting is an example.

CityWatch writer Tony Butka takes LA City Councilman Jose Huizar to task for the less-than-factual Zero Waste claims in his newsletter. ‘A whopper’ says Tony. Thinks he’s ‘God’s gift to the Eastside’ he writes.

Downtown, in the meantime, in General Jeff’s first-person account of Skid Row going’s on … Jeff calls Huizar the ‘people’s champ’.

Both of these writers are inside the action. Know whereof they speak. Have ‘seen-this-show-before’. How can they be so far apart on the controversial Councilman? Find out. In Today’s CityWatch.

And, here’s a twist: Immigrant Edwin Ramirez doesn’t think Vending Permits are the answer to the working immigrant brouhaha. He offers his own sure to be controversial solution. Because we think it’s the little stuff that’s important, we posted it at the top … in Today’s CityWatch.

All that … and more. Check it out. Let us know what you think. We’re good listeners.
