Editor’s Memo: Time for the Voters

WORLD WATCH

CITYWATCH TODAY—We’ve been lied to, yelled at, threatened, frightened, entertained and more for 15 months. Now it’s time for the voters to elect a president for these sometimes United States. And fill a number of other offices and approve or reject a bunch of ballot initiatives. To have suffered through this bombardment and not to have your own voice heard seems to me a terrible waste. Please vote. Speak up.

To help you sort it all out over this pre-vote weekend, CityWatch has provided you with a number of perspectives and options. I genuinely hope you find something helpful … in Today’s CityWatch.

A few days ago, Huffington Post reports, 90-year old Anita Harris cast her vote for Hillary Clinton … as you can see in the photo … and then died a happy voter. My wish is that you will find as much joy in your vote on Tuesday as Anita did … but, live much, much longer.

 ++++++

It may seem impossible … the election circus having hijacked media for so long … but there is other news. Richard Abrams writes that the cover-up has begun on the Sea Breeze scandal at City Hall; Beth Cone Kramer notes that some hacked Clinton emails may have exposed Mayor Garcetti’s super sensitive side; and, the Preven brothers wonder why the County insists on such high fees for paying your property tax online … at a time in our history when ‘online’ is what it’s all about. It’s all in Today’s CityWatch.

Check it out. Let us know what you think.
