@THE GUSS REPORT-After a chaotic summer during which Southern California politicians degraded and defunded the very law enforcement agencies which protected their own homes from rioters, their public anti-law enforcement stance has virtually invited violence against the men and women in blue. 

POLITICS OF POLICING-Police in America, whose mottos claim to “protect and serve” us, have been openly declaring allegiance with the forces of white supremacy.

COMMENTARY-Ten years ago, the City – government and stakeholders – was digging itself out of a financial hole created when Wall Street imploded after playing with derivatives fire from the wrong end of the tightrope. 

CAL MATTERS-California Gov. Gavin Newsom vowed today to accelerate the state’s efforts to tackle climate change, announcing “this is a climate damn emergency” after surveying the fire-ravaged Oroville State Recreation Area. 

LEANING RIGHT--Congratulations, California, for voting in woker and woker morons to implement lamer and lamer laws.

CHECKS AND BALANCES-When I ponder the likelihood of looming electoral chaos — uncounted votes, a defeated president who won’t leave office, the possible termination of American democracy (coming soon!) — I can’t avoid putting it into a larger context: 

WHAT COUNTS-A deadline is looming. Millions of lives, trillions of dollars, and our democracy all hang on whether we show up to meet it.
