The Colonists Could Not Survive in America Today

ARCHIVE

CERDAFIED-Our founding Fathers could not survive in the emerging NEW America, particularly, not under current state and local laws, and certainly not under Federal law. Colonists and pioneers came and settled lands under the most difficult of circumstances; No electricity, no crops, no government aid, few if any tools, and the threat of hunger, disease, and skirmishes with Native Americans.

To survive, our forefathers needed to have certain characteristics. They needed to be visionary, brave, resistant to submission, and self reliant while also recognizing that their survival was mutually dependant.  They had to fight for freedom despite the odds of winning that freedom.

The British King had imposed unjust laws and excessive taxation on the colonists. The fact is, the majority of the colonists were complacent, beaten down by an unfair system, much like we are today. It only took a handful of patriots to rebel and change history. Courage spread like a roaring fire. They were called to take action and they answered that call.

Under today’s laws, these same colonists could not sell raw milk, grow their own organic food as they like, trade services for supplies, decide the educational subjects of their children, clear the land they purchased or erect shelters that did not meet code or was not tied to the grid. In short, they would not have survived independently under our controlling government.

In today’s America, our rights are alienable, liberty is defined by tyrants, and the pursuit of happiness favors the corporate profits not the citizen’s health and well being. The new America breeds dependence on the government not self sufficiency. They achieve this by heavy handed taxation and regulation. (Read the rest of Lisa Cerda and Cerdafied here
