The embattled Vermont Entertainment Village developer made a strong case Saturday at a forum hosted by U.S. Cong. Maxine Waters that South LA residents should demand that the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors drop its ill-advised effort to block the private developer’s $250 million project that includes retail services the community has been demanding for years, such as sit-down restaurants, a grocery store and a pharmacy.
RESISTANCE WATCH--In the maelstrom that has been the Trump’s road to the Oval Office, yet another accused domestic abuser has been uncovered in the inner circle. President Trump’s White Staff Secretary Rob Porter tendered his resignation after the details of abuse allegations by two ex-wives and a photo of his bruised first wife were exposed in the Daily Mirror and on The Intercept site.

RESISTANCE WATCH--Shortly following a relatively tempered speech (by his standards) at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Friday, President Donald Trump veered from the script during a brief question-and-answer session, launching into a tirade against the "vicious" and "fake" press—a rant for which he was promptly booed by some attendees.
RESISTANCE WATCH--As evidence grows that the White House will ignore objections from the FBI regarding the release of a controversial "cherry-picked" memo—currently sucking up nearly all the political oxygen in Washington, D.C.—top Democratic leaders on Thursday called for the immediate ouster of House Intelligence Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) while concerns mount over whether or not FBI Director Christopher Wray will resign in protest if overruled by the Trump administration.
BCK FILE--At last week’s LA Women’s March, I read one woman’s sign, thanking Trump for turning her into an activist. I’ve been politically obsessed since childhood. I have specific memories of watching the Watergate hearings and was canvassing for local and presidential candidates long before I was old enough to vote.
