LEANING RIGHT-As Saskia Valentine headed to the Stanford University Medical Center for emergency treatment of an abscessed tooth, she could never have imagined how her day would unfold.
As a patriot, it is not unusual for her to discuss political events and her contempt for government corruption and malfeasance. But discussing Snowden’s revelations about the NSA’s vast surveillance on Americans, foreign governments and world leaders on March 15th during her procedure, ended with Saskia Valentine being forcibly detained for a Psych hold in Santa Clara County, California.
Under a county ordinance called 5150, Valentine could have been held 3 days for evaluation and extended indefinitely. Her relatives all live outside of California, and were unable to quickly intervene and did not have her power of attorney. Her friend of 15 years, William Stewart, was unable to get her released but obtained documentation of her detainment and treatment.
Mr. Stewart personally spoke to the resident physician who levied accusations against Valentine and he was quickly escorted out of the hospital by armed security guards when Mr. Stewart refuted the doctor’s assessment of and actions taken against Valentine.
Lacking the finances to have either a family physician or an attorney to secure her release, Valentine was at the mercy of the system and the liberal establishment within it. The following day, March 16th, at 4:30 pm she was released.
As dissent is muffled by doctors in white coats, under the helm of Obamacare, it becomes a greater threat than just poor treatment, high costs, or misdiagnosis. It becomes another tool to silent differing political opinion.
The truth is … talking about the US government’s real agenda behind their highly destructive actions would make anyone sound crazy. That’s how bad it has gotten. But can we really afford to have these ill informed liberals deciding if we suffer from paranoia?
The older generation has been warning us about the dangers of big governments, liberal ideology, and fiscal irresponsibility forever. Today we are suffering the consequences of rolling our eyes and patting them on their “delusional heads”. It is bitter swill to swallow, but they were right.
It is indeed odd times. On one hand you have liberals running amok with our educational system and media, on the other hand you have ISIS and Muslims trying to shove us all back into caves where troglodytes used barbaric measures to enforce the fear of God, even though their version of God is a pedophilic and a beast fornicator.
Somehow we lost the moral middle ground and it is a recipe for disaster. It’s hard to tell if we are suffering from too much tolerance or too much intolerance anymore. We are living in extreme times. The polarization of morality is indeed crazy but the insane is running the asylum. Every conservative could be considered insane by a liberals definition and subject to similar treatment as Valentine.
