Joan Pelico - CD4

February 03 2015
Written by CityWatch.

Joan Pelico has worn lots of hats during her life—businesswoman, mother, neighborhood activist, breast-cancer survivor, and dedicated public servant. And she’s worked hard to hit success in all of them.

As Chief of Staff for L.A. City Councilmember Paul Koretz, Joan has built a reputation for innovation, integrity, and total service—a plainspoken City Hall workhorse who rolls up her sleeves and gets it done for her bosses: the people of L.A.

Joan Pelico’s mission when she walks into City Hall everyday: bring together City employees to deliver City services to residents.

We’re now at a pivotal moment in our history, a time of incredible potential—and a time when leadership will make all the difference.

That’s why Joan Pelico is running for City Council. She knows City government can work. She knows because she’s made it work for her constituents these past nine years. And she’s also seen how it can fail—and how it can be fixed. She knows government works best when we build coalitions, work together, and find common-sense solutions to our everyday problems.

City Hall isn’t complete without us—the people. So let’s have a Councilmember who brings the community to the table—and treats us as her partners.
