Downtown LA: What We Need Right Now is a Positive Attitude

ARCHIVE

VOICES-(Re: Joel Kotkin’s ‘The Curious Comebacks of U.S. Downtowns’)  Joel, please come visit me in Downtown Los Angeles. I'd love to show you what our community is like from a residential perspective.

What we need more than anything right now is a positive attitude and faith in ourselves.

What is unhelpful is the  constant pummeling of LA from within ourselves. No wonder we are such a challenged citizenry.

We need to share more moments together to celebrate the good stuff. So please come join me for a coffee at Grand Central Market or a happy hour on Spring Street.

Sure, we may not be the dominant feature of a metropolitan landscape - but we are a small population that is enjoying the authenticity of Los Angeles.
