LARCHMONT BUZZ-When allegations of sexual harassment of a student by a former teacher arose last spring at Marlborough School, the Board of Trustees formed a Special Investigative Committee to conduct an independent investigation. The Board and Special Investigative Committee retained outside counsel to conduct that independent investigation.
Last Friday, the school announced the conclusion of this process and results of the final report that was presented to the Board.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the investigation concluded that there was a “pattern of misconduct” by the teacher and “mistakes in judgment” by top school officials, leading to the resignation of the school’s chief administrator.
Barbara Wagner, the Head of School at Marlborough for the past 26 years, will step down at the end of the current school year (June 30, 2015), school board President Christine Ewell and trustee Debra Wong Yang told the school community in an email message sent out Friday to the Marlborough School community.
