Construction Imminent for Wilshire Project

MIRACLE MILE ADJACENT-Construction is anticipated to get underway in November on a six-story, mixed-use project known as The Mansfield that will bring 138 apartments to the 5100 block of Wilshire Blvd, between Orange Drive and Mansfield Avenue.

A Burger King restaurant closed last week at the site, and a Korean church group that leased space in a former theatre at the location is preparing to move at the end of the month. 

Aaron Korda, project manager for the developer, Korda Group, said the company is still in the process of obtaining permits, but plans call for the existing structures to be demolished as soon as the city grants approval. 

“We’re excited,” Korda said. “The city is the one who decides when we start building, and it hasn’t been an easy trail, but now we are near the finish line.”  (Read the rest here)
