GRIFFITH PARK-Los Angeles Zoo admission rates are going up by $1 next month, following City Council approval of the hike today.
Adult admissions will become $19 on July 1, while rates for children aged 2 to 12 will rise to $14.
Seniors rates, which apply to those 62 years and over, will go up to $16.
Rates for groups of at least 15 people are also going up, from $15 to $16 a person for adults, and from $12 to $13 for children.
Councilman Bob Blumenfield told Video News West that while the city is concerned about the impact the fee hike may have on the public, they also want to "make sure that when folks go to the Los Angeles Zoo that it is a premier facility." (Read the rest here)
