EMPOWERLA-Some other neat election news is from the Central Alameda Neighborhood Council where 12 year old, Natali Cabrera, won the Youth Seat on the board. You can check out her candidate statement on our website here.
I'm loving that our Neighborhood Council system is a place to develop young leaders in the City so I was glad to hear that Senator Ricardo Lara recognized Natali for her civic participation with his Young Leader Award.

Neighborhood Councils have filed 116 Community Impact Statements this fiscal year and are so close to the goal we set of 150. If your Neighborhood Council hasn't filed a CIS yet, you still have until June 20th to file on the numerous Council Files affecting your community.
