Fighting for Perry Voters

ARCHIVE

Mayor candidates Eric Garcetti and Wendy Greuel wasted no time in beginning their campaign to try to win over supporters of Councilwoman Jan Perry, who captured 16 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s election.

Garcetti, on Saturday, attended a Block Club Meeting in West Adams to meet with residents.

Greuel, on Sunday, is planning to go to two churches at opposite ends of the city. She is beginning at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch, but then heading to the Second Baptist Church in South Los Angeles.

Perry, who represents South Los Angeles in her council district, carried the three African American districts in the city.
