For more than thirty years, Wally Knox has worked to improve the quality of life in our community, city, and state. 

He served for 6 years in the California State Assembly where he passed important legislation to improve public schools, strengthen public safety and protect the environment. 

He led the effort to improve the 405 /101 interchange and reduce regional congestion. 

He passed path-breaking gun control legislation and successfully worked to expedite compensation for the victims of crime. 

He reinstated the renters’ tax credit and expanded tax relief for senior citizens. 

He served for seven years as a member of the Los Angeles Community College District where he worked to modernize our local community colleges and improve job-training programs. 

He served on the Board of the Department of Water and Power where he fought to create a Ratepayers Advocate with real power to block unfair rate hikes. 

He was the first in his family to graduate from college attending Harvard and Hastings Law School. 

He served four years in the U.S Army and is a decorated Vietnam War veteran.

Wally lives in the Larchmont Village/Windsor Square neighborhood with his wife Beth Garfield and their two daughters, Aviva and Tamara.
