LEANING RIGHT-The second amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms from infringement. It was adopted in 1791 along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.
LAX TSA officer Gerardo Hernandez is dead because he was denied this right. He was a family man protecting us. The only thing he could do before he died was point his trigger finger at the low life Paul Ciancia and shout “banggitty, bang, bang.”
The officials at the LAX paint a portrait of Ciancia as a man with a clear mission. Despite having a semiautomatic rifle and, in the words of Mayor Eric Garcetti enough ammunition to have killed literally everyone in the terminal Ciancia only killed the family man – Hernandez.
Paul Ciancia wanted to target TSA agents. Ciancia had in his duffel bag a handwritten and signed letter saying he'd "made the conscious decision to try to kill" TSA employees, and that he wanted to "instill fear in their traitorous minds," FBI Agent in Charge David Bowdich said.
He carried the gun stuffed in a shoulder bag and a pull along piece of luggage because of its size. Therefore he could conceal the size – size matters. He seemed normal.
While it is unclear exactly why Ciancia disliked the TSA, various clues that have emerged point to the possibility of an antigovernment agenda connected – at least philosophically – with the Patriot movement.
Ciancia has been "unresponsive" since being taken into custody after being shot four times by LAX police, the FBI's Agent Bowdich said on Saturday.
The LAPD was contacted by Ciancia’s family who perceived that he was suicidal and disturbed. The police missed speaking to Ciancia by "a matter of minutes" the day his family asked authorities to check on him after receiving disturbing messages, according to the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
By the time officers arrived at Ciancia's apartment Friday, he had already left -- as little as 45 minutes earlier -- for the airport, according to U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul.
As authorities piece together Ciancia's actions leading up to the shooting, new details emerged from those close to the suspect. The family should have arranged to take him out years earlier.
According to someone who knew Ciancia and his roommates well, Ciancia began asking one of his three roommates days before the shooting if he could get a ride to the airport. Ciancia told the roommate that his father, back in New Jersey, was sick and he needed to get home "to go help take care of him." Ciancia didn't, however, indicate what day he needed to leave.
Ciancia’s apartment is described as being an abode of losers. Can you imagine four losers living in the same apartment.
If agent Hernandez had been armed we would be saying “the bad guy picked the wrong guy.” Why can’t we all be the wrong guy.
RIP Gerardo Hernandez.
